Florida Fun

Friday 18 April 2003 at 4:03 pm So I went to Florida this past weekend to see my good friend Carlos. Left Thursday, went to a Karoke bar Thursday night. Friday we went to the beach, but the winds were like 150mph. After being thoroughly sandblasted, we drove down the gulf coast, had some lunch, then went home. Friday night I made steak and mashed potatoes and grilled vegetables. Then after consuming 1/2 a bottle of wine and two beers each, we decided we had better go out to a bar. Got to this expensive bar (I guess they are all expensive there) and drank all night and danced to an 80's cover band. They rocked. Saturday was hangover city and Universal Studios. Don't go on that back to the future ride -- it sucks. I almost puked all over the place. Ick. Then we saw Willy Nelson in concert. Yeah, we stayed for about 3.27 minutes and then left. Citywalk was cool; went to a piano bar first, met some UCF grads and chatted with them for a bit, then went to a really loud techno dance club. It was the place to be I guess. My ears are still ringing. Sunday we spent two hours at the beach, got sunburnt, read "The Winner" by David Balducci, and then hopped a plane home.

I don't have SARS.

Carlos sounds a lot like my friend Charlie.

Carlos was in my high school computer class. And to think he now lives in Florida. What are the chances of that! Wow!

» Best Online Sudoku I'm addicted to Miniclip's Sudoku. It's Flash, and the best interface I've found yet. Then if I get stuck, I use Sudoku Solver by Andrew Stewart. Mmmm, Sudoku.   No comments |

DabbleDB, a new Web 2.0 way to manage databases. VERY very slick. Watch the demo.
